Tyler is 2 months
Tyler is now 2 months old. He weights 9lbs 1.5 oz and is 21.5 inches long, which leaves him in the 5th % for both. He is doing great! What ever was wrong with him seems to have gone away with the exception of a horrible cough, but the doc said his lungs sound great, so it's just nasal drippage in his throat. He's sleeping better at night (not last night, but most nights) and he's awake and active much more during the day. He's full of smiles and coos more which melts my heart everytime. For some strange reason his happiest place to be is his changing table. No matter what mood he's in, I put him there and he's smilin from ear to ear.

Tyler's first visit to the ER :-(
Well Tyler beat his sister to the punch. Sunday he started having a bad cough, so I was going to take him to the doc Monday morning, but apparently he didn't think that was soon enough. When we were getting ready for bed we noticed he was warm, so we took his temp and sure enough he was running a fever. Normally a fever isn't too much concern, but unluckily for us, any infant under 8 weeks that runs a fever means a trip to the ER with lots of tests. Since Macy was already in bed and Tyler breast feeds, I took him and Neil stayed home. For 8 hours I watched them run every test from a spinal tap to a flu swab and even x-rays. At 5am they asked whether we wanted to go home to wait for the results or be admitted. I quickly said home since he was in no immediate danger. That meant the next morning we had to go to the doc. Well that was followed by 2 more mornings at the doc. This morning he finally got two thumbs up for his recovery and it was determined that he must have just had a virus. Thankfully we do not have to go to the doc again tomorrow, however Monday is Tyler's 2 month well checkup, so back we go next week. I feel like I should have a VIP card for the doc with how many times we've been there this year.
