February was a very busy month, which means lots of new pictures. We had lots of visitors from family to friends and were out playing in the snow building snowmen one minute, then soaking up the sun at a park the next. Macy took her first ballet class, which had mixed reviews, she did her first science experiment, and also learned to use chop sticks (better than daddy, might I add). All of this while becoming the growing critic of my slowness to respond to Tyler's crying. Tyler has finally started sleeping in his crib, as opposed to the floor in our family room which seemed to be the only place he liked, his umbilical cord fell off and he got his first bath, he has also started smiling and cooing which melts my heart every time. He seems especially fond of silly faces and his big sister, which always get a big grin. Click here to view the pics. Oh, I also turned 30 and Neil actually surprised me with a surprise party. He is now quite fearful of my revenge. I've decided 30 isn't so bad. These will probably be the best decade of our lives since both kids will be growing so much and yet will still think we are cool.

February was a good month, but where did it go?

It's been a month! I think?
Wow time has flown by being in quite a sleep deprived fog. Tyler is now a month old. He weighs 7lbs 4.5 oz and is 20 inches. He's doing great. Macy is still proud to be a big sister and loves to just lay and watch Tyler. She's all about helping out too. The second Tyler's paci falls out, she's right there to put it back. We finally figured out that Tyler does not like to sleep up stairs during the night and he prefers to sleep on the floor on his play mat in the family room. What ever floats his boat is my motto these days, so we sleep on the couch now. The two kids have been taking it pretty easy on me during the days, so I feel pretty lucky and occasionally have a moment of insanity where I think about having a third.

Ballerina Macy
Macy is taking Ballet classes through the Raleigh Parks and Rec. So far it's a love hate relationship. She loved the first class and I was questioning who this child was that ran up to be the first one in the center of the circle. However at the second class I questioned if at one point she was going to kick the teacher. Oh the joys of a female toddler. Here's a cute picture where I think she is thinking less about the ballet move she is supposed to be doing and more about how this thing on the floor looks like an orange and boy does she wish she had an orange right now.
