Neil took a Tuesday off from work and took Macy and I to the fair. It was a beautiful day and we had a blast. She loved all the animals and flowers. While she was reluctant at first to pet the animals in the petting zoo, she warmed up to the point that at the end she was giving them hugs. Poor animals were so starved they actually allowed her to choke them, uh, I mean hug them. After that, any other animals we saw, we had to explain that not every animal can be pet, like the wild geese she had fun chasing. We took her through the flowers where she stopped to smell them all and was more than willing to pose for pictures. I couldn't get my corn dog due to junior, but of course I had to get an elephant ear, which I did share with Macy. It took some coaxing to get her to try it, but it instantly brought out the word more. The next day she woke up and said "Go to fair now, see animals", so I take that as a sign she enjoyed herself. We'll definitely be going back next year.
